Yes, all routers used in the PCU are compatible with internet bonding software.

Internet bonding aggregates two or more separate internet connections into a single virtual connection, making it more stable, reliable, and faster than any individual connection. If one link fails, the system instantly switches to the remaining operational connection. This process is seamless and invisible to the user, as though the network failure never occurred.

In areas with insufficient broadband, multiple 4G, 5G mobile networks, and fixed wired connections can be combined to provide adequate bandwidth. Combining different types of internet connections results in faster download and upload speeds compared to a single connection provided by ISPs in a given location. This solution is ideal for remote locations with poor infrastructure and limited access to high-speed internet.

Yes, the PCU comes without SIM cards. We recommend using SIM cards from different mobile network providers to reduce dependence on a single carrier, a practice known as carrier diversity. Carrier diversity enhances connection resilience, ensuring that if a connection drops, packet loss occurs, or available bandwidth decreases, data is automatically rerouted and transmitted through another cellular connection within the bonded link.

The PCU needs to be within the range of a cellular network to operate. In areas without coverage, you can use a Starlink terminal as a source of internet access. For added reliability, we recommend using a second terminal from another satellite internet provider, such as OneWeb.

The PCU can power all PoE devices that comply with the 802.3af/802.3at standard, such as access points, IP phones, or cameras. Using the 12V output, you can also power devices like the Starlink Mini terminal or even a radio.
